At Kingsland Blvd Animal Clinic, we believe wellness examinations and education are the foundation of your pet’s health care from puppy and kitten care through senior care. We want to become your partner in your pet’s care, helping you help them to lead a long and healthy life. We do this through regular and comprehensive examinations and working with you to determine your pet’s health care needs, recognizing changes in your pet’s health, and making recommendations for maintaining your pet’s health and vitality.

Some of the most common conditions we look for during our examinations include periodontal dental disease, skin problems, heart disease, weight issues and osteoarthritis. All of these can impact health and longevity. Because of this, we recommend an examination for every pet at least once yearly, and more frequently as your pet ages. At our veterinary wellness center, we consult with you to arrive at a vaccination schedule that makes sense for your pet, make recommendations for preventatives against heartworms and fleas, perform bloodwork on a regular schedule to uncover hidden changes in your pet’s health, and even offer a special “Senior Day” package to address the particular issues of the older pet.
